Lost Girl

August 31, 2010

Like many of my friends in their twenties I’m on my own for the first time, trying to juggle priorities with playtime. I’m constantly broke, living paycheck to paycheck, but I still want to enjoy my twenties.

This is the time before the mortgage, before the kids, before the real responsibilities kick in. Sometimes I feel like I’m playing house, just gearing up for the real day. There are days when I feel like Mary Tyler Moore and then the days when I don’t think I can take any more.

I’ve learned some tricks along the way, and I hope to keep finding and sharing more. I’ll look back on this time and think it was the greatest time of my life: the roommates, the decorating, the parties, the mess.

For now I’m just a lost girl in a little city, but I think someday I’ll be more.
